Money I Spent: $15 for gas and $12 for some prescriptions, $7 for a McDonald’s meal for kiddo. This is the first time I’ve gassed up my car in January!
Money I Avoided Spending: When I pulled up to the drive-thru at McD’s, the lady read off what I ordered to me before I paid. It wasn’t right (she read off someone else’s bigger meal), so I corrected her. If I hadn’t been paying attention, I probably would have paid $15, then not realized it until I had left.
Money I Made or Found or Saved: eBay – sold a pair of boots for $33, and a pair of small silver-plated picture frames for $15.
Use-it-Up Challenge: We are running low on heavy cream (for coffee) and rather than running out to buy another one, I’ve been using some old Nutpods (non-dairy creamer) and almond milk instead. I like heavy cream 100% better, but I’ll survive!
Thoughts: I’ve been super bored lately, so I’m going to make sure to do some reading each day and some of my online classes that I bought at Udemy.com back in November. So that might still be boring, but it will be a different kind of boring! It will also be time fairly soon to start my garden seeds for this year’s garden. I’m hoping to not have to buy many/any seeds this year. I have a ton leftover from last year. So maybe in the next few days I’ll look through those and see what we’ll be growing this year!
