Happy Easter!
Money I Spent: $90 on Amazon for a few things for the others in the household!
Money I Avoided Spending: Didn’t buy anything for myself while on Amazon. Still haven’t bought the new spring comforter, which is good due to the snowstorm coming!
Extra Money I Found or Made: eBay – sold shoes for $17.50, lapel pin for $19, and embroidery kit for $16.
Use-it-Up: Have used up about every bit of leftovers and little bits of things (onion, green chile, etc.) right in time for our 10 pound Easter ham to take their place for a week.
Don’t Go Into a Store: Success! Streak = 4 days.
Exercise Every Day: Fail! I was so restless and just not in the mood to do anything. The cold wind sealed the deal, and I told myself it was probably 20 degrees out there and I would freeze if I went for a walk. Found out later (by just going outside) that it was actually quite warm. But still didn’t feel like exercising so just sat on the bed and played Animal Crossing literally all day long. Which would be great if I could just get around that guilty feeling of “I should be doing some chore.”
Work Outside Every Day: Fail! I didn’t even water anything today. Big snowstorm coming up so I didn’t want plants and roots to be soggy then freeze. I did go out and cover the pea, radish, and carrot sprouts with some row covers, bring the peppers and artichokes in from the small greenhouse, and close up both greenhouses tight to weather the cold snap. So I WENT outside, just didn’t do much.
Thoughts: Stay at Home Day 32! Officially into month 2 of this mess, for us personally, at least. I’m starting to look way ahead to the potential “next time” something like this Covid-19 goes down. What should we have extra of on-hand at all times just in case? Obviously toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and Lysol/Clorox wipes. Also things like frozen and canned vegs (wide variety), frozen meat, olive oil, favorite shelf-stable snacks, and weird things like potting soil! I wish I could go buy 10 more bags of potting soil.
