Money I Avoided Spending: n/a Didn’t really think about buying anything today.
Extra Money I Found or Made: eBay: sold baseball cap $20 and a Hawaiian shirt for $15.
Use-it-Up: n/a but I am very close to finishing off 3 containers of lotion (1 big and 2 travel size). I have been using the big 10 oz bottle of lotion for about 8 months at least, so I think I’ve stretched it out pretty well. Tomorrow I’ll cut it open to get the last bits out. I have 2 travel sized hand lotions that are almost empty. They’ll get cut open within the week, too. Then I have about 20 more travel lotions to get through!
Don’t Go Into a Store: Success! Holding out until at least Wednesday if not longer.
Exercise Every Day: Success! 90 minute walk for 3 geocaches and 6 Pokemon. About 14,000 steps for the day.
Work Outside Every Day: Success! Hauled tree branches away, and got about finished with that project. Also did the usual watering and such. The peas are finally starting to sprout in both beds they were planted in! We also have some radishes coming up that need to be thinned a little. Sometime this week or this weekend we will plant a bunch of summer seeds like cucumber, watermelon, zucchini, squash, etc. We should also be able to plant the tomatoes and peppers in the high tunnel this weekend. I think the remaining tomatoes and peppers can go into the outside garden around May 10. The only thing holding me back right now is lack of potting soil. Whenever we go to the grocery store this week, I’ll pick up potting soil too. I just noticed I have a tray full of baby lettuce that needs to get eaten. Maybe it can hold on a bit longer until we run out of salad greens.
Thoughts: Stay at Home, Day 26. We have fallen into a routine here in these weird times. Wake up early (around 5:00), catch up on personal things like blogs, finances, food trackers, eBay listings, etc. for a couple of hours. Do some actual work-from-home work for a few hours. Go outside and do some yard work. Have a break and eat some peanuts on the back porch. One of us goes out for exercise. This is about time kiddo gets out of bed (noon). Eat some lunch. Do a little more real work-from-home work. Work in the yard some more. Other one goes out for exercise. Kiddo goes for a walk. Check in on work and work some more either on computers or in the yard. Take kid for driving lesson. Read a book in the sunny window seat. Do some laundry. Play a video game. Check in on work. Start dinner. Eat dinner. Clean up after dinner. Sit in hot tub for 30 minutes. Shower. Get ready for bed. Watch TV in bed for 2 hours. Asleep by 9:30. Today we also watched about half of the movie THE IRISHMAN on Netflix. It’s nice, really.
