Money I Spent: About $120. This is the last of my stock-up grocery buying trips. We went into the little grocery store down the way (couldn’t even consider Walmart or Smiths at this point, too many people) to get some meat. Meat variety was the only thing missing in our food preps, so we picked up some chicken thighs, pork chops, and ground beef. The beef area was all but cleared out, except for the tiny boneless sirloins for $7 each. But eventually they put out some ground beef, so I grabbed 2 packages out of the ~10 they put out. I think we could make 4 meals out of it.

Money I Avoided Spending: $0, we got what we needed AND wanted. The idea of a quarantine or “lockdown” is getting a little more real, so this is not the time to say no to little things.

Extra Money I Found or Made: eBay: $22 + Shipping for a vintage coffee canister. This was one piece of I think 6 pieces I found at Goodwill a couple of months ago. They were priced at about $3-4 each, and I have sold 3 of them now for $18-22 each (+shipping).

eBay Expenses: $0

Use-it-Up Challenge: n/a

Decluttering Challenge: Started going through our collection of books (again) and picking ones to donate or sell.

Thoughts: Day 1 of true no-school self-isolation was weird. It was like any other school holiday, in that we stayed home mostly and hung out, walked the dog, etc. But the mental part was different. Knowing there is at least 3 more weeks of this, if not more. It’s hard to fathom, really, what is going on in the world right now. I need to find some projects around the house to keep us busy. First we need to clean our house, so that will take some time! Second we need to put our garden in, so that will also take some time. After that, we can declutter and organize. Maybe something needs to be painted or repaired. Furniture moved and cleaned behind, who knows. I will definitely be building up my eBay store in this time of dreadfully slow sales, to get my numbers and inventory up — might as well prepare for Q4 now!
