Report: 1/6/19

Money I Spent:  Groceries today, goal was to sped < $50. Tactic was just to get the bare minimum (didn’t have time to do any couponing or sales hunting). Sprouts $18.12; Smiths $24.72. Total $42.84.

Money I Avoided Spending: Avoided buying anything frivolous at the store. Also have put a few things for Sabrina’s birthday into my Amazon cart, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. That will have to happen in January, but it will be toward the end of the month.

Extra Money I Found or Made: A necklace on eBay for $15. A set of old needlepoint vegetables for $39.

Use It Up Challenge: Some fairly old brussels sprouts from the back of the fridge got cooked up for dinner.

Thoughts:  Was very happy with the grocery bills this week, plus buying few groceries means they just take a second to put away.

Thoughts: I know we’ll be dining out again tomorrow for volleyball practice. And my truck needs gas. Not sure when my next $0 day will be.

  2. Money I Spent: Ate in town again today, $20 at Jason’s. 2 times this week for veggies. It is just so nice not to have to cook and clean the kitchen.

Money I Avoided Spending: didn’t shop again today but list is growing. Do want to hit Smith’s for their case sale before it is over.

Extra Money I Found or Made: n/a

Use It Up Challenge: Dad is cooking up some bacon we already had for Sabrina’s breakfasts and we also have a tomato so I am going to have a BLT for supper.

Thoughts: A little tired of the snow and cold. What a wise Sabrina to recognize the extreme price of the tournament sweatshirt! When she gets her report card I will have the expense of her report card challenge, one expense that I hope is more than less.
