The photo today is relevant because we have taken to buying store brand 2-liters of soda, rather than 12-packs of cans. This way we get to try new flavors (this diet root beer from Walmart is delicious) for an investment of usually around $0.59 – $0.69.

Money I Avoided Spending: Snowbound again today, so no outside temptations. Just needed to avoid shopping online, which I did.
Extra Money I Found or Made: So, I’m experimenting with investing in individual stocks on RobinHood.com. I bought shares of stock today in Facebook, Apple, JP Morgan-Chase, eBay, Ford, and I got a free share of Snap.com for signing up. It’s an experiment. Hopefully it will make some money over time.
Use It Up Challenge: Leftover Hoppin’ John for lunch (So good…)
Thoughts: I am motivated to keep the spending down this month and get these holiday credit card balances paid in full!

Money I Spent: $7.81 milk and mylanta, for dad so that is medicinal, the milk was 2.29.

Use It Up Challenge: we are still eating out of refrigerator, but this is probably last day for that. Dad is not having a lot because of the heartburn problems.
Thoughts: Went for a drive to get out of the house. Roads were interesting, our road not even plowed, but 14 was pretty good, wet in places. What we saw of 66 looked good. It is easy to not spend when you stay home.
