July 29, 2018 – Fiscal Fast & Sugar Detox

Money I Spent: Today I spent ALL THE  MONEY.  Specifically, $193 at Target for school supplies ($137) and some household stuff ($56) plus $117 at Tilly’s for Sabrina shirts, $21.55 at H&M for Sabrina jeans, and $129 at Kohl’s for Sabrina other misc clothes (got $20 Kohl’s cash back). We still need to get volleyball shoes and shorts in a couple of weekends. Just ran out of time and energy today.

Money I Didn’t Spend or Extra Money I Made:  Sold some canisters on eBay that I had bought for myself a couple of years ago. Not sure what I paid, maybe $12 or so, sold for $57.

Use It Up Challenge:  Nothing at all today.

Sugar I Ate: Ate a buttload of sugar at Menchie’s, as a final hurrah before Sugar Detox August really starts.

Sugar I Avoided:  No sugar other than Menchie’s today. Had diet soda with lunch.

  1. Money I Spent: $49 at Grassburger, and -$4 at Kohl’s. I’ll explain…

Money I Didn’t Spend or Extra Money I Made: I returned a pair of shorts that I decided I didn’t like to Kohl’s yesterday. They credited my bank account $22. I found a similar pair of shorts in my size (different color), and had a 20% off coupon, so the new shorts were only $18. So, got a pair of shorts I like better, and saved $4!

Use It Up Challenge: Still using last year’s gasoline to run my string trimmer, but it’s about time to go buy more gas.

Sugar I Ate: Oh god…I consumed whatever sugar was left at Menchie’s after Beth’s and Sabrina’s fro-yo cups were filled.

Sugar I Avoided: Hahaha! Oh wait, I managed to not eat the Oreo’s that are still in the cabinet (I had previously thought they were all gone).

Thoughts: Grassburger is expensive. Delicious? Yes. Worth it? Yes, but damn expensive.
