July 27, 2018 – Fiscal Fast & Sugar Detox

Money I Spent:   $0 day today, since my hunnybunches bought my lunch. 🙂

Money I Didn’t Spend or Extra Money I Made:  I put some goggle anti-fog stuff in my Amazon cart, but didn’t buy it. I think if I’m not able to start running soon I’ll start swimming instead. If that happens, I’ll buy it then. EBAY: Sold a dress for $17, bought for $1 at Salv Army. Sold a shirt for $12, which was an old shirt of mine.

Use It Up Challenge:  Dinner is a pork roast from the freezer, seasoned with some garlic dip mix we bought at a food fair 2 years ago. 🙂 Expiration Shmexpiration!! Dinner will also include some frozen vegetables and some mac & cheese pilfered from the next-door neighbors 🙂  I also harvested about 15 radishes, 3 peppers, and 2 zucchini.

Sugar I Ate:  No sugar today. Had Stevia in coffee (1 packet per cup) and a lemonade flavored water mix-in thing (stevia again).

Sugar I Avoided: Avoided having ice cream at Sweet Tomatoes!

Thoughts: We need groceries.

  1. Money I Spent: $42.50 for gas (actually spent yesterday, but forgot to mention it…) and $59.02 for Bikram Yoga. The yoga thing was a planned new monthly expense.

Money I Didn’t Spend or Extra Money I Made: I canceled a zero-balance credit card that had a whopping $195 annual fee. I closed another credit card account a couple of weeks ago that had an $85 annual fee.

Use It Up Challenge: See my dinner above!

Sugar I Ate: A Birthday Cake Quest Bar only has 1g of sugar…how are they so damn delicious? I also had a couple of spoonfuls of Enlightened Ice Cream.

Sugar I Avoided: Did not get any desserts at Sweet Tomatoes lunch yesterday! I did have a small baked sweet potato, but used plain butter instead of the sweetened honey butter they also offer.

Thoughts: Slowly easing myself into avoiding all extra sugars. I think not spending money will be easier by comparison.
