Money I Spent:  $23 to gas up the car. Used 20c/gallon off at Smiths. 🙂

Money Victory ($ I avoided spending):  Kind of desperately wanted a giant burrito for lunch, but that’s not FF-friendly OR diet-friendly so I didn’t get it. Double victory.

Use It Up Challenge:  Finished up the pork we had found in the freezer this weekend by making street tacos again. Threw the leftovers into a salad for my lunch tomorrow, along with some of my homemade pickled jalapenos!

Thoughts:   Saw that my paycheck went up a bit with my raise so I raised my 401k contribution to the maximum ($18,000/year), and started a 1% contribution to my Roth IRA (which typically I just put some $ in now and then, whenever I have some). If I end up needing a little more money each month in checking, I’ll stop the Roth contribution and just go back to throwing money in there whenever I can. Should  be able to put a chunk in when I get my tax return. Max on that one is $5500/year, which I hit last year and hope to hit again this year.  Also I’ve been doing some activities (watching diet/exercise/mindfulness videos etc) at work to earn money for my Health Retirement Account to pay some co-pays in 2019. So far I’ve made about $550 for my HRA just by filling out a health questionnaire and watching some health related videos. I made $510 last year which will help with my knee surgery costs.

  1. Money I Spent: $0!

Money Victory ($ I avoided spending): Had a great CrossFit day today! Set personal records on three different movements! I should have celebrated with a $5.11 Starbucks Nitro Cold Brew…but I didn’t.

Use It Up Challenge: Packing leftovers for lunch every day.

Thoughts: I’m going to be so tired of salad by the end of next month.

  2. Money I Spent:$13.38 Triangle for some olive oil and some swiss cheese. Working on perfecting our French onion soup recipe today. I think it is going to be pretty good! Did spend some yesterday, misc. groceries about $60, and also some gas.and chicken from Chick Filet and KFC. Dad determined the chicken strips at Smiths are just as good and not as $$.
